Cementitious Protective Material

Cementitious Protective Material

Structural steel is used in a large variety of buildings including industrial facilities, buildings, lightweight roofs, spatial roofs, parking lots, etc. The structural steel must be protected as steel is sensitive to heat and it can gradually lose strength starting from 550oC and given the load it carries.

Fire protection for structural steel is possible up to 4 hours (240 minutes) and is designed to maintain the strength of the steel and allow escape from the building in the event of a fire before the steel reaches a failure temperature and the structure collapses.
